It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Rhodes of Arcola, Illinois, born in Bloomington, Indiana, who passed away on December 10, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Luther and Lottie Jane Temples (Mapes); her former spouse Gene Ashmore; her husband Donald Rhodes; her son Michael Ashmore; her son-in-law Brad Hammond; and her siblings, Wayne Temples, John Temples and Maxine Young.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Merrill Ashmore (Rhoda) of Oakland, IL and Sherie Hammond Duzan of Grandview, IL; her daughter-in-law Nokey Ashmore of Monticello, IL; and her grandchildren, Travis Ashmore (Sabrina) of Monticello, IL, Traci Tucker (Noel) of Monticello, IL, Chris Ashmore (Jennifer) of Strasburg, IL, Asa Ashmore of Mattoon, IL, Cash Hammond (Karen) of Grandview, IL, Cody Hammond (Tashauna) of Charleston, IL, Jason Miller (Holly) of Monticello, IL and Justin Miller (Natalie) of Monticello, IL. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
