He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew and Lorna; his former wife Kathleen Stone; and his son Jeffrey Miedema. He is survived by: his wife Marylu Max; his children, Jason Miedema (Tina) of Bristol, WI and Kristy Slabosz (Mike) of Antioch, IL; his stepson Damian Schott of Antioch, IL; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jesse, Zach and Kyleigh; and his siblings, Andrew "Bud" Miedema (Ginger) of Hanover Park, IL and Susan Vlahopoulos of Algonquin, IL. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lake County Forest Preserves 1899 W. Winchester Rd. Libertyville, IL 60048, are appreciated in Walter's memory.
