It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roy Richardson (Alton, Illinois), born in Ecru, Mississippi, who passed away on February 6, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Richardson Sr. and Rudell Richardson (Coleman); his brother Bobby; and his pets, Sam and Dixie.
He is survived by: his wife Gerri; his children, Gary, Danny (Cindy), Rex (Shirley), Scott (Chrystal), Carol Gray (Denny) and Kathy Nelson; his stepdaughter Debbie Rice (Don Dean); his stepgranddaughters, Rachel Duggan (Tyler) and Emily Davis; his grandfather Roy; and his sisters-in-law, Maye Richardson and Wilma Jean McKelvy (Jerry). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Youth Fund at the First Church of God in Alton.
