Guthrie Sr. (Alton, Illinois), born in Wood River, Illinois, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Purley Guthrie and Clara May Guthrie (Corder); his son Reese Epperson; his siblings, Guss Guthrie, Helen Hyman and Marie Brecker; and his aunt Carrie Bridgeman.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lennox; his children, Sam Guthrie (Billie) of Roodhouse, IL, Vickie Nilsson of Florissant, MO, Danny Guthrie (Martha) of Anaheim, CA, Evelyn Loy (Mark) of Chesterfield, IL and Tony Epperson of Moberly, MO; his sister Joyce Klosser of Torrance City, CA; and his cousin Cynthia Breitweiser (Tom) of Brighton, IL.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
