It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Orval Ford Smith Jr. (Alton, Illinois), born in Onarga, Illinois, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Ford Smith Sr. and Annie Lee Smith (Moore); his wife Barbara Ann Goldman; his son-in-law Jerry Hack; and his brother David Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Terri Hack of Godfrey, Cheri Dover (Dick) of Godfrey, Denise Hansen (Terry) of Jerseyville, Sandy Bailey of East Alton and Dennis Smith of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
