With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilynn VanHooser of Alton, Illinois, born in Shawneetown, Illinois, who passed away on September 24, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry McGhee and Velma McGhee (Batteese); and her siblings, Bob Batteese, Paul Lewis and Donna Barton.
She is survived by: her husband Gary VanHooser; her daughters, Michelle (Brian Garrett), Kerri (Christopher Fulkerson) and Ann (Thomas Spring); her sister Betty Rice; her grandchildren, Fred (Erin Skelton III), Joshua (Nikki Skelton), Christopher (Rachel Fulkerson Jr.), Garrett Fulkerson, Austin Spring, Jackson Spring, Vincent Clark Jr., Payden McOwen and Malcolm Elfkin; and her great grandchildren, MaKynna, Kindryl, Zane, Trey, Christopher III, Ruby and Rhea McOwen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
