It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara B Duncan of Alton, Illinois, who passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Markel and Cecil Markel (Gates); her former husband Edwin Lee Belangee; and her siblings, Eugene, Arthur, Homer, Jack Markel, Marie Markel and Virginia "Ginny" Abbott.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Duncan of Alton, IL; her children, Diana Wilson of Alton, IL and Dennis Belangee (Terri) of Florissant, MO; her sister Dorothy "Dot" Minks of Alton, IL; her granddaughter Melissa Denby (Mark) of Lee's Summit, MO; her great grandchildren, Taylor, Gabriella and Emry; and her brother-in-law Edgar "Dink" Abbott of Alton, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Brown Street Baptist Church.
