He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Johnson and Flora Johnson (Abell); his son Eric Wayne Johnson; and his brothers, Ray and Gene Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Johnson of Allendale; his daughter Cheryl Coggan III (Jabez) of Florida; his grandchildren, James Johnson (Samantha), Alan Johnson, Jaclyn Meade (Zack), Maia Marquez (Ruben) and Jabez Coggan IV; his great grandchildren, Braxton, Benjamin, Lucy, Catherine, Madilyn and Aria; his daughter-in-law Stella Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Mattox (Peggy), Mike Mattox, Coralee Skeen (Delmar) and Candace Adair. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
