He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Schmidt and Marie Schmidt (Kelting); his former wife Linda Stankee; his sister Marilyn Stoeker; and his grandson Elijah Sharon.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Reusch; and his children, Ronald (Jennifer Schmidt), Lee (Danell Schmidt) and Laura Sharon of Wyoming, MI. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Aledo United Methodist Church for the sound system.
