He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Sopira and Phyllis Perrin Sopira. He is survived by: his sister Elizabeth Kirkley (Shawn) of Smithfield; his cousins, Richard Perrin of Sherrard, Susan Perrin-Sallak (Tom) of Le Claire, Steve Perrin (Debbie) of Rock Island and Terry Perrin of Tucson, Arizona.; and his friend Juli Anderson of Aledo. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
