He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gritton and Vivian Pearson Gritton; his wife Marion Jean Tary; and his grandson Tommy Leihsing. He is survived by: his daughter Marilyn Heaton of Aledo; his grandchildren, Ryan Leihsing of Aledo and Stephanie Mader (Joshua) of Rock Island; his great grandchildren, Stella and Ruby Mader; his sister Dorothy Smith of Aledo; and his niece Denise Hampton of Aledo.
