He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Richard and Mabel Blanch Staker (Conrad); his stepmother Mary Rebecca Carver Staker; his brothers, Wallace and Merle Staker; and his siblings-in-law, Melvin Springer, David and Betty Skinner.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Skinner; his children, Mike Staker of Aledo, Steve Staker (Penny) of Aledo and Kathy Murdock (Bryan) of Aledo; his sisters, Margaret Loeffelholz and Patty Springer; his grandchildren, Ashley Murdock, Stephanie Roloff (AJ), Amanda Bennett (Sam), Colby Staker (Catherine), Joe Staker (Holly), Colin Murdock (Lindsay), Cassidy Price (Michael) and Cayley Staker; and his great grandchildren, Mollie, Haylee, Addyson, Shaelyn, Cooper, Finan, Noel, Andie, Jase, Hadley, Chloe, Cecelia, Mikey, Cayden and Doris. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, College Avenue Presbyterian Church or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
