She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Johnson and Verle Parker Johnson; her spouse LaVerne E. "Bud" Nelson; and her brother Delbert Johnson. She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Marple (Ed) of Reynolds, IL and Dawn Forsyth (Doug) of Viola, IL; her grandchildren, Tara Schulz (Jeremy) of Blue Grass, IA, Leslie VanWinkle of Viola, IL and Andrew Forsyth (Crystal) of Viola, IL; her great grandchildren, Lauryn, Landen VanWinkle, Rayna, Zoey Schulz and Reed Forsyth; her sister Judy Bollinger (Jack) of New Windsor, IL; her sister-in-law Lucille Johnson of Texas; and her siblings, Marilyn Laird, Bertha Randall, David and Orville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
