He is survived by: his spouse Deena Oliver; his sons, Mark of Abingdon, Mike of Abingdon and Rich of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Taylor Slagel, Riley Slagel, Clay Slagel, Carsen Slagel and Khloe Slagel; his stepgrandchildren, J. D. Patch, Lani Patch and Keely Patch; his stepgreat-grandchild Zane German; his siblings, Darlene, Snyder of Monmouth, Terry Slagel, Galesburg Forshee and Sherri Forshee of Abingdon; and his pet Rico.
