Mable May Brown Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 15, 2023, at the age of 92, Mable May Brown of Abingdon, Illinois, born in Denmark, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Joseph and Helen Louella McCulloch (Christ); her husband Oscar C. Brown; her siblings, William, Robert McCulloch, Frances Simmons and Mary Lou Ringler; and her half-brother Jimmy Mellum.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Thompson of LaHarpe, Jeff Brown (Mitzie) of Galesburg and Bruce Brown (Brenda) of Walker, Louisiana; her half-sister Helen Ruth Newell of Iowa; and her grandchildren, Carrie Cameron of LaHarpe, Jason Brown (Holli) of Abingdon, Shannon Brown (Amy Neal) of Knoxville, Mark Brown (Celia Carranza) of La Mesa, Timothy Brown (Anna) of Killian and Matthew Brown (Carrie) of Watson. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abingdon Christian Church.
