It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Jackson of Abingdon, Illinois, who passed away on September 17, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon H. Jackson and Zelma D. Jackson (Kendrick); his stepfather Raymond Ashby; his son-in-law Joseph Carlson; his grandson Justin Carlson; and his siblings, Wayne Jackson, Bobby Joe Jackson, Betty Chase and Janet Kay Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Iva Jane Johnson; his children, Joni Carlson of Abingdon, Julie Nelson of Abingdon, Mary Jane Clayton (Gary, Sr.) of Abingdon and John Randy Jackson of Abingdon; and his siblings, George Jackson of Galesburg, Richard Jackson (Linda) of East Galesburg, Kenneth Jackson (Sue) of Florida, Terry Jackson (Lorma) of Rio, Patricia Bishop of Monmouth, Maybell Ostrander of Petersburg and Doris Swise of Fairview. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren.
