He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald B. Pruess and Ruth E. Pruess; and his brothers, Robert and Donald Pruess. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Pruess of Tigard, OR; his daughters, Heather of Portland, OR and Jennifer Pruess of Portland, OR; his brother Warren Pruess of Lake Jackson, TX; and also, Donald B. and Ruth E. Pruess. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces.
