He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hazen Atheline Gilbert and Naomi Forsgren Gilbert; his wife Joyce Smith; and his children, Nancy Butterfield (Jim), Clyde Gilbert (LeeAnn), Barbara Lewis (Larry) and Mark Gilbert (Teresa). He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
