He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Drain and Ruth Drain; his sister Marie Snook; his daughter Ceceile McBenge; and his grandson Michael Turner.
He is survived by: his sister Bettie Florence; and his children, G. Scott Drain (Jocelyn), Ed Newberry (Yolanda), Shonna Fraser (Scott), Theresa Newberry and Mark Drain (Leisa). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
