He was predeceased by: his parents, Soloman Walter and Martha Walter; his wife Carol Larsen; his siblings, Janet and Wayne; and his son BlueGrass (Ila).

He is survived by: his brother Gerald; his stepchildren, Michael Walter and Christy Walter (Blue); and his children, Thomas Walter (Megan), Christy Blue (Bill) and Jaylene Walter. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
