He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob and Bertha; and his siblings, Ernest, Mildred, Edmond, Fred, Ruth, Elmer, Roland and Melvin.

He is survived by: his son Jeff (Tana); his grandchildren, Jeminee (Mike), Jantzen (Corina) and Bayley (Casey); his son Greg (Julie); his grandchildren, Wes (Brianne), Dakotah (Lance) and Scout (Jordan); his daughter Camille Cadran (Dave); his grandchildren, Mia and Sophie; his great grandchildren, Roman, Asher and Bode; and his siblings, Hilda Zimmerman, Ida Deeg and Marion Krause. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Thousands of pounds of potatoes, homemade German sausage, and Kuchen have been shipped all over the country, from California to Florida, to friends and relatives over the years as well as other donations of time and talents.
