Larry Richey Obituary
Larry "Steve" Richey, age 71, of Wyoming, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a 31 year employee at Steelcase and also worked part-time at Chapin's Automotive. After his retirement he worked for West Michigan Auto Auction. He was a hot rod and motorcycle aficionado.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rhoda Gabus; brother, David Noorman; nephew, Adam Murphy; cousin Rick Gardner. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and brother. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patty; daughters, Andrea Richey and Kathleen Howell; son, Mark Richey; grandchildren, Kyaira, Katelyn, Autumn, Kadence; sisters, brother, and many nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Dave Van Leeuwen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Scott Gardner officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.
