He is survived by: his children, Ron Knowles, Cyrus Knowles (Heather), Henry Knowles III, Christine Perry, Concella Perry and Cynthia Perry; and his siblings, Vivian Brown (Freddie), Rosa Bynes, Drucilla Allen, Robert Hughes (Betty) and John. He is also survived by his grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
