He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Kenkel and Caroline Kenkel (Mumm); his wife Monica Kenkel; and his siblings, Gerald Kenkel (Fern), Mary Ann Kenkel, Pauline Kaster (James), Bernard Kenkel Jr., Edward Kenkel, Arlene Kenkel and Mike Calder.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Hays (Dan) of Elkhorn, Ron Kenkel (Natalie) of Omaha, Regina Modica (Jeff) of Memphis, Jeff Kenkel (Lynn) of Menomonee Falls and Phil Kenkel of Woodbine; his siblings, Donald "Red" Kenkel of Woodbine, Iowa and Marjorie Calder of Omaha, Nebraska; and his sister-in-law Lee Ann Kenkel of Pawleys Island. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
