It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ann McCune (Williamsburg, Iowa), born in West Branch, Iowa, who passed away on August 13, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Axel Werner and Elma Werner (Gilster); her children, John III, William and Barbara; and her sisters, Alice Gilmore, Mary Cornwall and Marge Salisbury.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Friesen (Jay) of Tucson, AZ, Tom McCune (Dar) of Cedar Rapids, Janet Kugley (Monte) of Homestead, Carolyn McCune of Des Moines and Kim McCune (Steve Fuhrmeister) of Iowa City; and her daughter-in-law Joy McCune of Albert Lea, MN.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren.
