He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Matson and Fern Matson; his wife Dolores Matson (Dixie); and his sister Shari Kinseth. He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Matson of Minneapolis and Lori Cekoric (John Willingham) of Portland, Oregon; his son-in-law Brian Cekoric (Ann Fry) of Portland, Oregon; his grandson Nathan Cekoric of Portland, Oregon; his close friend Helen Williams of Des Moines, Iowa; his in-laws, Richard and Mary Lou Lawler of Eldora, Iowa; and his nieces and nephews, Tami Dorr, Dawn Harringa Breza, Brian Lawler (Jan), Linda Doering (Craig), Clark Lawler (Beth), Julia Lawler (Scott Johnson) and Christine Lawler.
