He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nordquist and Ina Nordquist. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Jean Van Nest; his children, Duane Nordquist (Eileen), Kay Klemp (Steve) and Susan Duve (Dan); his grandchildren, David Nordquist (Cheyenne), Heather Schnathorst (Caleb), Holly Smith (Aaron), Caitlin, Grace Nordquist, Danny Nordquist, Cali Duve (Kiel Reynolds), Lexi Duve and DJ Duve; his great grandchildren, Lorelei Nordquist, Josephine Nordquist, Edith Ina Nordquist, Elias Dominguez, Ian Dominguez, Gideon Schnathorst, Kamil Krater and Arlen Krater; and his sister Lu Gerads.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Westown Parkway (3601 Westown Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Reach Church (2725 Merle Hay Rd, Des Moines, IA 50310).
