He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvid Newman and Mabel Newman (Anderson); and his nephews, Neil Krinhop and Dirk Newman. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Gustafson of West Burlington; his children, Debra Parks (Neal) of Burlington, Dana Newman of Houston, TX, Paul Newman (Deb) of Marion, IA and Lori Fry (Rick) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Ryan, Jonathan, Jason, Ciara, Carissa, Amanda and Drake; his great grandchildren, Damion and Myla; and his sister Gladys Krinhop of Fort Collins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Faith Lutheran Church.
