George J. Kozacil Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George J. Kozacil of West Burlington, Iowa, born in East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on July 31, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Kozacik and George Kozacik; and his sister June K. Frazier. He is survived by: his former wife Mary Louise; his children, Keith Kozacik (Penny Cahill) of Iowa City and Laura Kozacik Graber (Aaron Couchman) of Lineville; and his stepchildren, Kevin McCarty (Paula McCarty) of Des Moines, Samantha McCarty Hahn (Nate Hahn) of Louisville and Julie Pressner (John Pressner) of Dundee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial funds have been established for Iowa Food Bank and the Des Moines County Humane Society.
