He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard L. Sr. and Lucille Smith (Hirsch); and his brother Floyd Smith. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn of Waverly; his children, Annette Weih (Kirk) of Mount Vernon, Terry Quigley (David) of Shell Rock, Patricia Wayne of Janesville, Michael Smith (Jody) of Waverly and Peggy Brase (Ross) of Waverly; his sister Nancy Liebsch of Jesup; and his brother-in-law Harold Barkhausen of Waverly. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
