She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Magdefrau and Marion Magdefrau (McGuire); her husband Don Harlan Siegle; her brother Bob Magdefrau; and her brother-in-law Darwin Widmer.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Siegle of Mt. Vernon, Iowa and Barb Swift (Craig) of Washington, Iowa; and her siblings, Dick Magdefrau (Charlotte) of Washington, Iowa, Dorothy Widmer of Washington, Iowa and Betty Harris of Washington, Iowa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for children's books for local organizations.
