She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Gaunya and Josephine LaStrange Gaunya; her husband Robert; and her siblings, Herbert, Norma and Doris. She is also survived by five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sixteen nieces and nephews and their families; and a brother.
