He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin R. Hicklin and Irene Anderson Hicklin; his former wife Carolyn "Cotty" Woods; his wife Margaret Hall Weaver; his siblings, Martin (Carrie) of Stone Mountain, Charles (Marian) of Mariemont, Ohio and Portia Irene of Wapello; his granddaughter Hannah Louise Gerst; his stepdaughter Joan Weaver Cross of Fairfax, Virginia; and his stepgrandsons, William Michael Weaver of Macon and Adam Weaver Roach of Libertyville, Illinois..
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathryn Gerst (Roger) of Wapello, Iowa, Martha Remley (Greg) of Leawood and Dr. Elizabeth Barber of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his stepchildren, Nancy Roach (Mike) of Libertyville, Jane Weaver-Sobel of Charlotte and William Weaver (Erin) of Forsyth, Georgia; his grandchildren, Carolyn Gerst, E. Tucker Remley, Erin Barber MacEntee, Samuel Remley and Ann Barber Fruland; and his stepgrandchildren, G. William Clarke, John Clarke, Brady Clarke, Tyler Roach, Molly Weaver Patterson, Dan Weaver, Sarah Sobel Landolfe and Rachel Sobel. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Edwin's family requests memorial gifts to the Louisa County Foundation for the E. R. Hicklin Scholarship Fund.
