He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Zabokrtsky and Cecelia Zabokrtsky (Schulte); his wife Donna Freese; his daughter Gwen Rumbo; and his sister Lola Leary.
He is survived by: his former spouse Glenice Becker; his son Joel Zabokrtsky (Anne) of Fairfax; his grandchildren, Blaine, Amelia, Ethan, Alex, Mary, Braden, Korbin and Ashlyn; his nephew Dave Leary (Mary); his nieces, Susan Malloy (Mike) and Lisa Lueninghoener (Pete); and his son-in-law Todd Rumbo (Diane).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to either Fairfax Fire Department or St. Jude Hospital in his name.
