He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin John and Mildred Marie Maixner Stark; his sister Joan Arnold of Klamath Falls, OR; and his sister-in-law Roger. He is survived by: his wife Liz of Vinton; his sons, Michael Stark (Lucille) of Wakefield, RI, Tom Stark (Alissa) of Minneapolis, MN and Steve Stark (Debi) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Joel (Megan), Elizabeth, Avery, Devin, Lamar, Rhiana, Allison, Marissa Stark and Breanna Hawley; and his great grandchildren, Harper Stark and Brooks Hawley.
