He was predeceased by: his parents, William Powers and Camillo "Cam" Wood (Stepp); his stepfather Joe Wood Sr.; his stepbrother Joe Wood Jr.; and his father-in-law Joe Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Michele Sauer (Pete) and Shane Powers (Carrie) of Vinton; his grandchildren, Sam Sauer (Paula) of Everett, Beth Martin (John) of Verona, Weston Powers and Eli Powers of Vinton; his brother Jay Wood (Angie) of Hinkley; and his stepsiblings, Lavonne Paulson, Juanita Karnupp, Sharon Allsup and Loren Wood.
