He is survived by: his spouse Denise Gruber; his children, Dustin Stowell (Jen) of Deep River, Devin Stowell (Aurora) of Laurel and Deidra Rankin (Cory) of Pella; his grandchildren, Marley, Tinsley, Kapri Stowell, Aurora, Amira, Royce Rankin, Jessica, Kara and Levi Nachazel; his mother Lola Stowell of Greenfield; his sisters, Cheryl Cannon (Phil) of Greenfield and Bonnie Wichhart of Polk City; and also, Karla Nachazel of Tama and Chris Nachazel (Amy) of Tama. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
