He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kiana Resch, Emily Resch, Nick Resch (Makayla), Jennifer Resch, James, Benjamin Macy, Maxwell and Hudson Resch; his great grandchild Everly Resch; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Johnson, Betty Resch and Jim Fries (Sandy).

Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1005 Hill Ave, Spirit Lake, IA 51360). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
