He was predeceased by: his parents, Hjarne Duus and Margaret Duus (Bovbjerg); his siblings, Gloria Grenz and Dave Duus; and his son-in-law Wayne Wiese.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda of Spirit Lake; his daughters, Terry Weise of Lake Park, Rebecca Hardenberger (Paul) of Hutchison, KS, Robin Nielsen (Mike) of Springfield, NE and Cara Beers (Jerry) of Brookings, SD; his grandchildren, Justin, Amanda, Jacob, Julia, Kyle Tricia, Jimmy, Shelby, Haley and Parker; and his brother Doug Duus (Judy) of Spirit Lake.
Through Alzheimer's, his mind may have left him, but his spirit lived on until the end.
