With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVonne Schelling of Sioux Center, Iowa, who passed away on March 18, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Rensink and Lois Rensink (Van Gorp); her parents-in-law, Rochus and Jennie Schelling; and her in-laws, Gert Schelling (Vande Hoef), Jan Schelling, Henrietta, Klaas Knibbe, Alida, Edward Ymker, John Schelling, Emma, Gerrit Roskam, Gilbert, Wilma Schelling (Van Der Schaaf), Fredrika Schelling, William Schelling, Herman Zomer and Cornelius Zomer (Cork).
She is survived by: her husband John R. Schelling; her children, Jim and Lynn Schelling (Rus); her grandson Jonathan (MacKenzie De Jong); her children, Nathan, Kyle (Ashley Meldrum), Ben, Tessa De Wit, Eloise, Roman, Jeremy, Kayla De Wit, Autumn, Jase, Vince Leaverton, Willie, Courtney Leaverton, Amber, Cory Knutson, Charlie, Oliver, Alexander, Theodore, Kati, Jacob Mannel, Erin and Trey; her sister Ruth (Warren Dekkers); and also, Jeane Zomer and Joanne Zomer.
In lieu of flowers or gifts the family prefers memorials be directed to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center.
