He was predeceased by: his father Paul Hartog; and his grandparents, Cornelius, Magdeline Den Hartog (De Zeeuw), William and Carrie Boone (Ver Steeg).
He is survived by: his mother Joan Den Hartog (Boone) of Sioux Center; and his brothers, Duane of Sioux Center and Bruce of Sioux Center. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and other extended family.
