With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol M. Byl of Sioux Center, Iowa, born in Orange City, Iowa, who passed away on January 13, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer De and Lucille Van De (Siebersma); and her parents-in-law, John and Minnie Byl. She is survived by: her close friends, Ken, Eunice Hulstein, John and Carol; her daughter Sherri Soodsma (Mark) of Doon, IA; her grandchildren, Trisha Huyser (Joel), Travis Soodsma (Adrienne) and Tanya VanHill (Brent); her daughter Mary Broekhuis (Byron) of Sioux Center, IA; her grandchildren, Laura Brown (Ben) and Paul Broekhuis; her son Tim Byl (Tam) of Sioux Center, IA; her grandchildren, Tracy Steenholdt (Brandon), Teri Hubbard (Kevin) and TJ Byl; her sons, Evan Byl (Mary Jo) of Sheldon, IA and John Mark Byl (Heidi); her grandchildren, Johannah, Karolynn and Annaka; and her brothers, Robert Van De Brake, Arie Byl (Helen) of Sioux Center, IA and Henry Byl (Joan) of Sioux Center, IA. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren.
Social distancing and mask guidelines will be followed.
Her fibromyalgia & her Alzheimer's were acting up to the point she couldn't even walk.
