He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Edwin Nelson and Mildred Nelson (Ozenbaugh); and his sister Joan Watterson. He is survived by: his sisters, Judy Nelson, Carol Hornbuckle (C. E.) of Shenandoah and Marilyn Nelson of Raytown, MO; his nieces, Jill Quinn (Mike), Judi Watterson Davis (Mike) and Amanda Humiston (Kevin) of Parkville, MO; his nephew Brian Hornbuckle (Jalene) of Nevada, IA; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Barry Quinn (Abby) of Louisville, KY, Ryan, Amy Quinn of Madisonville, KY, Amaris, Malachi, Eliana Hornbuckle of Nevada, IA, Megan and Ben Humiston of Parkville, MO. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
