He was predeceased by: his parents, George Frederick and Virginia Ann Hart (Peery); and his parents-in-law, Fern and Herbert Harmon. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hart of Shenandoah, IA; his daughters, Adrienne Hart (Matt Kloberdanz) and DeAnn Barnes (Jeff) of Boone, IA; his granddaughters, Katie Barnes of Fargo, ND, Erin Barnes of Boone, IA and Ayla Hart of Sidney, IA; his sisters, Kathy Davis of West Chester, OH and Andrea Kann (Bob) of Lima, OH; and his sisters-in-law, Lola Zimmerman (Tom) and Beth Messschmidt (Mike) of Marshalltown, IA. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are being directed to the Shenandoah Christ Point Baptist Church or a tree may be planted in Don's honor (Don received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Forestry from Iowa State University in 1968).
