He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Melvin and Edna May Dixon (Mosier); his siblings, Chester, Alice, Albert, Vernon "Dutch" and Lucy; and his niece Linda Joy Jones.
He is survived by: his son Darwin Max; his wife Ardith G. Murphy; his children, Cheri Hargadin (David) of Elizabeth, CO, Kim Flores (Lupe) of Moreno Valley, CA, Rhonda Roper (Kim) of Orem, UT and Hollis Dixon (Cindy) of Spanish Fork, UT; his son-in-law Kevin Jones of Coin, IA; and his brother Larry Dixon. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
