He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustaf Carlson and Stina Carlson (Beck); his daughter Diane Carlson; and his siblings, Ivan, Gusty, Raymond, Russell, Donald Carlson, Blanche Berrier and Veda Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Carlson of Shenandoah, IA; his sons, Michael Carlson (Shelly Leftwich) and Mark Carlson (Jennifer) of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren, Scott Bopp of Loveland, CO, Nicole Bopp of Loveland, CO, Alexia Romosod of San Diego, Ivan Carlson of San Diego, Samuel Carlson of San Diego and Michelle Mahoney of Cabot, AR; his great grandchild Kahlesee Holcom of Loveland, CO; his great great grandchildren, Abigail and Gavin Mahoney of Cabot, AR; and his sisters, Vera Treese of New York and Carolyn Logan of Texas. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Memorials in Carroll's name are being directed to the American Heart Association.
