He is survived by: his former wife Margaret Severson; his wife Cheryl LaRoche of Sioux Falls; his son Jamie Bowen (Lisa) of Humboldt, SD; his stepchildren, Kristine Flannery (Todd) and Nicholas Blumer (Kellee); and his siblings, Charlie Bowen (Carol), Kay Ginger (Dan) and JoAnn Popma.
