He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard R. Strayer and Marjorie Strayer (Gregerson); his wife Vivian E. Strayer (DeBoer); his son John D. Vink; his siblings, Russell Strayer, Mag Baldwin, Donna Jobes and Lillian Stone; and his nephew Rodney Strayer.
He is survived by: his children, Belinda E. McEntee of Colorado Springs, CO and Tony D. Vink of Caldwell, ID; his grandchildren, Adam Lowry of Eagen, MN, Jarod Lowry of Eagen, MN, Tony R. Vink of Crescent Valley, NV and Tamara Elvira of Washington; his close friend Virginia Bode; his sister Judy Lange; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Hubers (Shorty) of San Diego, CA and Kathy Dudding (Michael) of Denison, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Tribute Howard James "Jim" Strayer entered the world on February 19, 1940 in Algona, IA; one of six children born to Howard R. and Marjorie (Gregerson) Strayer.
