He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Gloria A. Van Oort (Baartman) of Sanborn, Iowa; his brothers, Steven, Daryl and Chad; his father Harvey Van Oort; his grandparents, Pete, Mina Van Oort and Sadie Baartman; his niece Paige Van Oort; and his siblings, Keith Van Oort (Candy) of Sheldon, Iowa. and Pam DeGroot (Kelly) of Sanborn.
