He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elizabeth DeKam and Andrew DeKam of Sanborn Iowa; his former wife Arlene DeKam (Rensenbrink); his wife Lorraine DeKam (Ekkel); his children, Karolyn and Bob Jongsma; his grandchildren, Laura (Ian), Megan and Kim (Gray); his children, Ken DeKam, Beth and Randy McDonald; his grandchildren, Rachel (Daryn), Elissa (Jarred), Kaitlyn (Dustin) and Jennie (Sean); his children, Dan and Arlene DeKam; and his grandchildren, Janneke (Matt), Henry, Anneliese, Karolyn and Ellie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Fremont Christian School Endowment Fund at the Fremont Area Community Foundation, or to TrueNorth Community Services.
